Bellman Foundry ("we", "us", or "our") operates the LiftAuth mobile application (the "App") and the website at liftauth.com (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.
Account information — When you sign up or are invited to a firm, we collect your name, email address, and phone number for authentication and account management.
Inspection data — When you perform lift inspections, we collect checklist responses, notes, photos of defects, and digital signatures. This data is associated with the lift, job, and your user account.
Location data — With your permission, we collect precise location data to pin lift locations on a map. Location is only accessed when you use the map picker feature and is not tracked in the background.
Camera and photo library — With your permission, we access your camera to scan QR codes and photograph inspection defects. We access your photo library only when you choose to attach existing photos.
Device information — We may collect basic device information such as device type, operating system version, and app version for troubleshooting and compatibility purposes.
Website analytics — When you visit the Site, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use our pages. This collects your approximate location (country, region, and city — derived from your IP address, which Google does not store), the pages you view, how you arrived at the Site, and your browser, device type, and language. If you are signed in to a Google account with Ads Personalisation enabled, Google may also provide us with aggregated age range, gender, and interest categories. This information is statistical and is not used to identify you personally. Google Analytics sets cookies on your device to distinguish returning visitors. This applies to the Site only — the App does not use Google Analytics.
You can opt out of Google Analytics on any website by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser settings.
We do not sell your personal data. We may share your information with:
Your data is stored on Google Cloud infrastructure. We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), authenticated API access, and multi-tenant data isolation to protect your information.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App's services. Inspection records may be retained longer to meet regulatory compliance requirements. If you request account deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
